Merry Christmas
As we approach Christmas Day, I want to take a moment to reflect on the year we’ve shared together. Cornwall is a special place, and its greatest strength is its people. Whether it’s through supporting one another in difficult times, volunteering in our communities, or simply spreading kindness, you all make Cornwall a truly extraordinary place to live.
This Christmas, as we gather with family, friends, and neighbours, let us also remember those who may be facing challenges—those struggling with the cost of living, loneliness, or uncertainty. It’s a time for generosity of spirit, for reaching out, and for making sure no one feels forgotten.
I’m proud of the steps the Liberal Democrats have taken this year to stand up for our communities, protect vital services, and fight for a brighter future for Cornwall, But there’s always more to do, and in the face of successive governments proving they don’t understand what Cornwall needs, our Liberal Democrat MP’s, Councillors, and Campaigners remain committed to working hard for everyone across the duchy.
So, as we deck the halls and light the fires, let’s cherish this season of goodwill, celebrate our unique Cornish traditions, and look ahead with hope to the new year.
From my family to yours, I wish you all a very merry Christmas and a happy, peaceful New Year.
